Hema Wetlook 02

Hey guys! How are you all doing? I'm enjoying my final days before my studies begin again. This is a polish I wore during my holiday, thanks to Natasha. It a jelly-like polish from Dutch brand Hema. Normally I don't particularly like the jelly finish. I like how shiny they are, but not that they are transparent. It just doesn't look good on me when I have long nails. This one is actually is an exception to the rule. It is a very pale pink polish that would be great for french manicure. Here I am wearing 4 coats, and I like it!

My Stash

Surprisingly I've never put all my polishes in one place and take a picture. It was actually an eye-opener for me. Who would have thought that my polishes divide fairly equally into pinks, nudes, dark colours and glitters. I know that I'm missing some 10 polishes that my friends have, some OPI, China Glaze and SpaRitual glitter and holographic ones.
It's not a surprise to me that OPI represents a big part of my stash. For the most part I really like their formula, I like the ProWide brush and most of the polishes last at least 3 days on my nails.

My China Glaze stash grew to it's current size in just a few months. Before that I was really reluctant to get them due to a bad first experience. But them I got OMG and DV8 holos in a sale and never looked back. I only have 2 full sized Orly polishes, crazy I know. But I never totally fell in love with them. But I do love their mini polishes a lot! It's like a quick colour fix.

Here is a box of different brands, polishes that I only have a few of each, and bottles I only got because of the colour.

Here is Essence and Catrice polishes that I got on my holiday in Amsterdam. I wish these brands were represented where I live! They are cheap and for the most part have a nice quality and cute colours. Also I do like both of their brushes.
Here are Misa, Barry M, American Apparel etc. I love the formula on these two AA polishes, you have to love a one coat polish. My only Zoya is here too. I mentioned before that buying Zoya polishes here is just prohibitively expensive, even if they have very pretty colours.

Here are my boxed goods :) I store them separately from other polishes because the boxes don't fit in the drawers where I have the rest of my stash. It's horrible, but I occasionally forget that I have these at all.

I do have another two boxes that didn't make it here. One is with all the base and top coats, cuticle stuff etc. And the second is a box with all the frankens and polishes I tried water marbling with, nothing interesting, Coloramas and such.

H and M I'm Not A Kiwi

Hey everyone! Today I had some free time on my hands and decided that I haven't sorted my nail polish stash in a long time, and since starting blogging it has grown considerably. When I put it all together I was surprised to discover that in my stash some colours are more represented that others, and I have few unusual colours, such as this one. H&M I'm Not A Kiwi is a yellow lime green cream polish. It looks very similar to some polishes that OPI had in the Shrek collection, doesn't it? I never got any of those as I wasn't sure I would ever wear it. But surprisingly, I do quite like this colour, it is nice for the summer. The formula on this one was okay, a little streaky, but with three thin coats it looks fine. I think it can use some thinner next time I use it. I'm surprised that I did wear it for over four days, and even then I took it off just because I wanted to change the colour.

OPI I Lily Love You

It feels very much like the summer is over. This manicure just screams summer and flowers to me, so I'm using it to cheer myself up. Usually this kind of nail polishes looks great outside in direct sun, so that every single piece of glitter shines and sparkles. So I was surprised that in the case of I Lily Love You it looks much more interesting indoors or in the natural light.
Here I have it layered over OPI Shorts Story, which to me seems like the nicest combination.

BeYu 325

Hey everyone! Today I want to show you one polish that I find truly beautiful. The is is BeYu 325. It has a black-midnight blue base colour and is peppered with blue shimmer. In one word - awesome. This is my first polish from this brand, so I didn't know what to expect. The formula was fine and dried really quickly, it needed mostly two coats, but some nails needed an extra one. Also this polish dried to a somewhat dull look, so it needs top coat on top. Overall, I'm really happy with this one and will probably get some more polishes from this brand. I got this in Douglas in Amsterdam, so I'm assuming that they are widely available.

I'm baaack!

Hey everyone! I'm finally back from my holiday in the Netherlands. It's good to be home! I've really enjoyed myself, though the weather could have been nicer. As you can see I went totally crazy in terms on buying nail polish. I was aiming at getting brands that are not available where I live and getting some polishes that are on my wishlist. I wasn't planning on getting so many, but what can I say, I'm weak. I've tried some of them already and I wish I got some more of the American Apparel ones, I like the quality and the formula. I will be showing you the swatches soon.

H and M Happily Ever After

This is a polish comes to you courtesy of Natasha. It is not really my kind of colour. H&M Happily Ever After is a frosty shimmery pale pink. It applies evenly but it is rather sheer, especially the first coat, which makes me think that it would be great for layering. It does build up quite nicely, so here I'm wearing three coats.

Since one coat of this polish applied so evenly and was so sheer, it seemed like a great polish for layering. I chose pink, red, black and blue to layer it over. I like it better this way than Happily Ever After on its own. The black one looks the nicest to my mind.

OPI Shorts Story

Hey everyone! I'm still on holiday and I like Amsterdam, but lately the weather truly sucks. It already feels like autumn, and it rain a lot. I really went crazy on the nail polish shopping, and I'll show you everything when I get back.
For now I'm going to show you the polish which I specifically got to use under I Lily Love You from this summer's collection. All the swatches of that polish that I've seen were layered over a. darker colour, and not what I wanted, and then I saw this polish in the shop. Shorts Story, a bright but not too dark Barbie pink. It is such a happy colour! This is two coats, and I expect that the wear will be the nice 3+ days that I usually get from OPI

OPI Catherine The Grape

Hey everyone! How are you doing? I'm great today, I'm actually going on holiday today :) Two weeks in the Netherlands visiting friends! Just great, and surely a polish shopping spree...

So today I'm wearing this, OPI Catherine the Grape. I'm in love with this colour, this aubergine purple with blue, pink and red shimmer. It's absolutely stunning! Thank you Sophie for getting me this. The formula seemed too thin when I put just one coat, but it actually is fine. Here I'm wearing just two coats.

I'll see you all when I get back!

OPI From A To Zurich

I've been walking around this polish for some time, not sure whether to get it or not. I mean how many berry red polishes does one person need?! But I guess it is always possible to find a justification for purchasing more. On me this polish looks kind of dusty raspberry red, a kind of very nice alternative to super bright red. I like the texture and that it dries fast and looks good with two coats on.
