Illamasqua Phallic

This is one of the polishes that came home with me from London. While I kept promising myself that I wouldn't be getting anything from Illamasqua, I am clearly weak.
This polish looked the most appealing when I was looking through their display, there was something about the gorgeous shimmer that I liked most.
The formula on this one was just okay the first time I tried it. It was a bit too thick for it to apply evenly and later on I even noticed a few bubbles. Back home I added a couple drops of thinner and now this polish is utter perfection! I used two coats here.

YSL La Laque 34 Black Tulip

I got back from London a few days ago. I enjoyed being away, but it's good to be home :) I loved how warm it was there, a real spring weather, while back home it snowed! I loved walking everywhere, the beautiful architecture etc.
I met up with a university friend and we went to the park to feed nuts to the squirrels. Two highlight of my trip was going to see Wicked one evening and going to Halcyon Gallery to see the Dale Chihuly exhibition. His glass sculptures are incredible!

Of course I went nail polish shopping. I got a few American Apparel ones and a few Barry M's, but the best bit was going to Illamasqua flagship store. It was amazing!!! Unfortunately Nomad was sold out, but I still enjoyed myself. I was particularly impressed that the girls there wear the full on crazy Illamasqua make up with a dozen colours AND manage to look really cool.

Today I would like to show you this pretty polish. I like the formula a lot, I used two coats, but it is almost a one coat polish. It dries really quickly. It is probably one of the nicest purple polishes I have.

Catrice #280 London's Weather Forecast

It is that weird time of the year when it is no longer winter and almost no snow, but it is not yet spring. Everything looks faded and boring. Also I'm going to London next week, so it seems like a good time to wear this polish. I don't love it as much as I hoped I would. It's a very pretty grey that has very subtle silver white shimmer in it. The formula is also quite nice, this was two coats.

YSL La Laque 19 Fuchsia Pink

This is yet another nail polish that I don't wear as often as I would like, and it is all probably because it is stashed away in its box. This was two coats, and the polish dries fairly quickly. I particularly like for the light blue shimmer flashes when I move my hands. Also, kudos to my dad who chose it, it is one of those rare cases when both me and my mum love the colour.

This polish has the most awesome pale blue shimmer in the bottle,it is visible on the nails, it is just not that visible.

Anny Camouflage

I've been looking at Anny polishes for a while now. They are a German brand that is carried by one shop around where I live. And while I've heard a lot of good things about the quality of their polishes, two things were always stopping me - price and colours. The are priced at around 16$ here, which is quite a lot, approaching the OPI Designer Series. As for the range of colours, perhaps it is just the local selection, but at least 60-70% are pinks, reds and pastel beige shades. Also the majority of polishes are cremes, others have some very subtle shimmer. So nothing outstanding.

When the shop was having 20% off on all polishes, I decided to finally get an Anny. I decided to go for an interesting colour, I don't have anything similar in my stash. #371 Camouflage is a pale, dusty sage green, and it looks quite similar to OPI Stranger Tides.
The formula of this polish is superb, it needed only two coats, and the polish feels rich and creamy. It is also very shiny, here I'm not wearing any top coat. It wears extremely well, I've been wearing it for three days now, and it still hasn't chipped or lost its shine.
