Stash Pics 2013

I haven't shown my stash on here in a while. So when last week there was a bit of sun, I took the photos of my polishes sorted by brands. One thing I didn't do is count them.
Perhaps I should sort them by colour next time?

As soon as I started taking photos of the polishes, my cat instantly took notice, he even climbed in one of the drawers :)

My Stash, July 2012

The last time I showed my stash was here at the end of last summer. Since then I have of course acquired a few new polishes, and by a few I should probably say a hundred.

After I graduated last month I got myself a few OPI polishes I've been eying for while, plus they were 20% off. I was actually looking for At Your Quebec and Call which I've seen before in abundance, but on that particular day had to spend ages going through all the shelves to find and along the way found these.
L-R: Significant Other Color, Holiday Glow, Japanese Rose Garden, "Sheer" Your Toys, Sonic Boom, Greece Just Blue Me Away, and At Your Quebec and Call. The last three are black labels.

In terms of storage, at the moment my nail polishes live in one huge drawer where they all [barely] fit. I separate them by brand and not by colour, since I like how it looks more that way. Normally all of them fit into three smaller drawers and all the base coats, nail files etc. are in a separate box.

In terms of brands, OPI dominates. I think I counted 74 polishes plus I have a few double bottles.

China Glaze polishes have increased since last time, a lot! This is my second most numerous brand I think.

I still have few Orly polishes. I don't really know why there aren't more, but when shopping for polishes they are not my first choice. After a lot of deliberation I did purchase Space Cadet and Galaxy Girl when I started liking duochrome polishes more.

Essence and Catrice are next. I like their polishes, they are inexpensive with fun colours. While Essence started appearing in shops here, they are still few and far between, plus we don't get all collections, just some random ones. Catrice are the ones I brought from holiday last year.

Random square bottles. I still only have just one Zoya polish. And I still love Barry M polishes.

Some other random polishes that I have only a few of different brands. Top right corner is a Salvador Dali polish that used to be my mum's. I found it recently and used a ton of thinner on it.

General Update

The last couple of weeks has been insane in terms of expanding my stash. For one thing my parents got me polishes from my wishlist as a Christmas\New Year gift. Amazing!!!!

China Glaze: Snow Globe, Cha Cha Cha, Riveter Rouge, Let's Groove, Mahoganie, Re-fresh Mint, Medallion, Doll House

OPI: Jade is the New Black, Manicurist of Seville, Lucky Lucky Lavender, Warm & Fozzie, Meep-Meep-Meep, DS Temptation, William Tell Me About OPI, Rainbow Connection, Russian Navy Suede

Also, gorgeous Essence polishes appeared, and after looking up the swatches online I don't think I could have passed up these. These three are the only ones that were left of the Vampire collection, Gold Old Buffy, Hunt Me If You Can, and True Love. I suppose I should try to find the other two colours as well.

I also stumbled upon the Depend polishes in one shop. The colours were in general really boring, and I only picked up who shades, 204 is a dark blue shimmer and 58 is an ugly lavender shimmer with holographic particles. I also picked up Pepe's Purple Passion and Urban Night.
I've already tried Pepe's Purple Passion and it has a very interesting and weird formula, it's like a paste, and while it is liquid, it doesn't run at all.

And last but not least, I've been remunerated for doing my internship, not enough to do anything useful with it, so I went dusty hunting and spent most of it on these five beauties. I was surprised that DS Amethyst is not that close to DS Original as I thought, and Glacier Bay Blues is

My Stash

Surprisingly I've never put all my polishes in one place and take a picture. It was actually an eye-opener for me. Who would have thought that my polishes divide fairly equally into pinks, nudes, dark colours and glitters. I know that I'm missing some 10 polishes that my friends have, some OPI, China Glaze and SpaRitual glitter and holographic ones.
It's not a surprise to me that OPI represents a big part of my stash. For the most part I really like their formula, I like the ProWide brush and most of the polishes last at least 3 days on my nails.

My China Glaze stash grew to it's current size in just a few months. Before that I was really reluctant to get them due to a bad first experience. But them I got OMG and DV8 holos in a sale and never looked back. I only have 2 full sized Orly polishes, crazy I know. But I never totally fell in love with them. But I do love their mini polishes a lot! It's like a quick colour fix.

Here is a box of different brands, polishes that I only have a few of each, and bottles I only got because of the colour.

Here is Essence and Catrice polishes that I got on my holiday in Amsterdam. I wish these brands were represented where I live! They are cheap and for the most part have a nice quality and cute colours. Also I do like both of their brushes.
Here are Misa, Barry M, American Apparel etc. I love the formula on these two AA polishes, you have to love a one coat polish. My only Zoya is here too. I mentioned before that buying Zoya polishes here is just prohibitively expensive, even if they have very pretty colours.

Here are my boxed goods :) I store them separately from other polishes because the boxes don't fit in the drawers where I have the rest of my stash. It's horrible, but I occasionally forget that I have these at all.

I do have another two boxes that didn't make it here. One is with all the base and top coats, cuticle stuff etc. And the second is a box with all the frankens and polishes I tried water marbling with, nothing interesting, Coloramas and such.
