I have decided to wear more of the polishes in my stash that have been somewhat forgotten. So I took out Orly Space Cadet. In one word it is just amazing. Of course with all its multichrome goodness going on it is impossible to photograph. This was three coats. If I had to find a negative, on me it takes a while to dry.

Current NOTD - Fantasy Fire
I've been playing with Max Factor Fantasy Fire today, layering it over various polishes. I've worn it many times over OPI Every Month Is Oktoberfest and Barry M Navy, but I think this is my favourite one. I layered Fantasy Fire over a plum creme polish (Max Factor Intense Plum). I love how it looks.
My cousin is getting married in a couple of months, and the wedding colour is purple. I think I've just found what I am going to wear on my nails :)

Barry M Silver Lilac
Hey guys! Sorry for the lack of posts. I may or may not have spent a whole week doing absolutely nothing. I also haven't been painting my nails as much. For some reason the polishes I would usually rely on to give me great application, fast drying and good wear back home, behave completely differently here in France. I hardly wear any polish for longer than a couple of days.
Barry M #324 Silver Lilac is a silver and lilac polish as the name implies, but it also has hints of pink and green in it. It sort of reminds me of OPI Not Like The Movies. The formula is fine, but I needed three thin coats for it to be completely opaque. As for the colour, it's not my favourite, but I'm sure some people love it.

OPI Sonic Boom
Because I couldn't leave OPI Fly alone, I also tried layering OPI Sonic Boom over it, since they have similar base colours. Sonic Boom is a very sheer blue polish with green-yellow shimmer in it. I suppose you can get it to be opaque eventually, but I should think that it will take 3+ coats. This polish looks the prettiest in the bottle as you can notice some pink flashes as well. I'm not sure how easy is this polish to find (mine is black label) but I have seen a few newer, white label bottles in my local shop. Since it is an old polish, it takes a while to dry on its own, but i think it is absolutely worth it. I suppose the next thing I should do is try to see how many coats it will take to get opaque.Wednesday, 3 April 2013
OPI Just Spotted The Lizard
I am actually not that fond of duochrome polishes. There, I've said it. They look so lovely in the bottle, but when I put them on they just seem not that exciting. So when Peridot came out with all the dupes, I was not really bothered. And then I got OPI Just Spotted The Lizard as a gift.
I can't say that I absolutely love this polish, but there are aspects that I really like. The texture and the way it feels to the touch is great, so smooth. And the way it looks on grey, overcast days of which there are many in autumn and winter. This was two coats that dried really quickly.
