Today I had a day full of crazy action. Let's say that I now know what I will grab first in case my house is on fire not just in theory. It will be Felix, our cat :)
I unearthed this gorgeous polish in a dusty corner of my local shop. Midnight Blue Glitter. What can I say, it is stunning! It's a black label polish, so I'm assuming it came out a while back and is now hard to find. It has a very interesting texture. It has a sheer grey base, in it are lots of tiny charcoal grey glitters. On top of that there are also two different kinds of blue glitter mixed in. Together they make a real beauty. This polish does require three thin coats to be totally opaque, and there is one drawback - it takes a while to dry. I'm assuming this is because of the old formula. But after it dries you get a really gorgeous polish that I wore for three days without any problems.

Today I have Essie Funships to show you. I have to admit that I don't know a whole lot about Essie's polishes. It's one of those brands that I don't have easy access to so I stick to other companies.
So Funships is a pink coral shimmer polish that has a hint of orange to it. The application wasn't too bad, though I have nothing to compare it to. It went on a bit unevenly, so it needed three coats to be opaque and more or less even, though even after that you can see the brushstrokes. The color is very interesting and the epitome of summer to me. The wear was decent as well, two days without any problems, chips or wear.

I have to admit that I really, really dislike this polish! Perhaps it is just because I don’t get this color. Lincoln Park After Dark is a very, very dark plum creme. The application was ok, not perfect – this is two medium thick coats. It took a while for each coat to dry. There are several things that I don’t like about the polish. The color is just not doing anything for me. It’s like a non-color, very non-descript. It’s not dark enough to be black and not light enough to actually see the color. To me there are many other nicer nail polishes that try to be almost black where you can actually distinguish the base color, whether it is red, green or blue. Plus it just drives me mad that on me the tips start to wear off within a day.
Overall, it’s a miss in my books!

I have been dying to get my hands on this polish ever since it came out. It's just gorgeous!!! The polish itself has a very dark base, it's pretty much black, but it is packed full with magenta pink square glitter. A very sexy polish! This was two coats. I like a lot how it looks and the fact that it lasts on my for about four days. What it really can do with is a layer of top coat (which I forgot to use here) since you can see that the glitter stands out on top of the polish, it's a bit bumpy.
This is a fabulous little polish that my friend Sophie gave to me. It is a light green holo. Do I need to say more?! I absolutely love the color and how sparkly it is. It is made by a little-known Turkish company that makes many different other polishes as well. This was three coats as the polish is quite thin, but it dries really fast and I wore it for three days. Given how pretty it is and how well it stayed on my nails I just need to try some more of their holo polishes!

The weather has been really warm and sunny lately, yet today I woke up to the sound of a first real storm. Thunder, rain, lightning.... I just love it!
So today I have a very pretty polish to show you. This is OPI Lunch at the Delhi from a few years back. It's an interesting color, it looks kind of coral pink, but at times can look closer to orange. The application was really nice and smooth, this is two coats. I managed to wear it for 3 days, by the end of the third day there was a lot of noticeable tip wear.
To me this is a lovely beach shade, it's bright and warm and I'm sure it will look great with a tan!

Today I've got for you a very sexy polish! This is an absolutely gorgeous, perfect dark red polish. The application was so perfect, I wish every dark polish applied this smoothly. This is two coasts. Incidentally, Barry M's Red Black which tries to dupe Rouge Noir was a total streak fest. What I really like about this polish is the color. It's just dark enough so that you see both the red hints and the black tones, without being too much of either color.

This is a super bright sky blue polish from the Shrek Forever After collection. I think that the polish is slightly darken than the bottle color after it is fully dry. This is two coats, and the application was great. I am not, however, sold on the color. For my liking it is just too much, too bright, too blue. I don't thing I can really carry it off.

It has been raining here a lot lately, and I needed a pick me up. So this is the color I used.
This is a very interesting polish. I think that Chanel Fantastic is exactly that, fantastic. It's a kind of dark pink color with a very subtle reddish pink shimmer. I actually like it a lot, it's bright and vivid, gorgeous all around. This was two coats, a very nice formula. You could probably get away with one even coat, but given that I'm clumsy, this is two thin ones. On me it dried extremely fast and wears decently. I managed to wear it for nearly three days. This polish looks great in the sun, it also really draws the attention to the nails.

Ok, I have to admit that I've never really associated YSL with polish. I've had other upscale polish brands like Estee Lauder, Dior and Givenchy, but for some reason never YSL. What a mistake!!! I can tell you that I like every single thing about their polishes that I had a chance to try. Oh, and I am a total sucker for the square bottles, they look so great and neat stacked next to each other.
YSL market La Laque as a long lasting nail lacquer, and I suppose it's true, I've worn every one of them for 3 days at least. Gris Orage, or Stormy Grey, is a rather light grey polish. It has a very dense consistency, so it is almost a one coat polish (but here I'm wearing two thin coats). The polish also has some silvery white shimmer that is apparent in the bottle, but not so much when it comes to the nails. In general I think that this is one gorgeous polish and it would suit many different skin tones.

This is a polish that I borrowed from my friend Sophia, the lover of blue polishes. I absolutely adore this one. Misa On The Edge is an absolutely gorgeous shade of blue. It’s interesting because it is both bright and muted at the same time. The formula is flawless, two coats are plenty to make it even and beautiful and shiny! It is also great how it looks different in various lights. I can wear it for about three days, and then take it off because I want a change. It is one of the very few blue polishes that looks flattering with my skin tone, so now this polish is on my wish list!

This is a major lemming satisfied for me!!! I've wanted this polish for such a long time, but it seemed on the pricey side. And now it's mine, all mine!!! I really should have bought it sooner because it is just amazing. Bright pink and purple, and shiny and holographic, with an amazing formula that covers in two thin coats and lasts 3+ days. It's everything I want form a perfect nail polish. At this rate I will have to get all the DS Series if they are all this great!

This is one of the polishes I was given to try and it is such a cute color! Organdy is a pretty, pretty Barbie pink color. The formula is nearly perfect and it required only two thin coats. I think that it is an absolutely perfect spring color, and the wear is impressive, I wore it for almost four days.I like that it is neither pastel, nor too bright pink. It actually looks nice with my freakishly pale skin tone, and not many pink shades do.
